The Curated Daily
Colophon

A note on how this paper is set.

Every publication earns a colophon. Here is ours — the type, the colours, and the machinery behind The Curated Daily.

Typography
Headlines & body
Source Serif 4 — by Frank Grießhammer at Adobe. Used at sizes between 16 and 78px. We favour the regular and semibold weights; italics earn their place.
Interface & meta
Inter — by Rasmus Andersson. Set tight in small caps for kickers and section labels.
Code & tabular
JetBrains Mono. Set on a dark slab when it appears in articles, like a print sample.

Source
Open in spirit — if you spot a bug, a typo, or a better word, please write in.

Type is set on screens of all sizes, but it is sized for reading. The body column is kept under 72 characters wherever we can. Section heads breathe. Photographs run with credits. Footnotes earn the name.

If you spot something we’ve set badly — kerning, a widow, a stray quote — please write in. We’ll fix it.
